Dennis Yeo (Dr) began his career as an author with a composition published in the school magazine when he was in Secondary Two. Today, he unleashes his literary energies by assailing his unsuspecting Facebook friends with a continuous barrage of pretentious haikus. An educator all his life, he now lectures at the National Institute of Education, Singapore after rising through the ranks of primary, secondary and junior college education. He is living proof that appreciating Literature, teaching Literature and producing Literature are mutually exclusive endeavors. His dabbling in creative writing has resulted in the publication of several poems and three short stories thus far. His short story Skin was one of 194 longlisted submissions out of 6,642 entries in the 2023 Commonwealth Short Story Prize.
